    Behold! The host of the source of the violet-eyed madness that has taken hold over Tumblr for who knows how long… will be closing its doors 1 June 2013. Alas, I know better than to hope that with the end of Outpost Daria will come the end of Alexandria’s Genesis, not with the insane adoption rate my creation has garnered since Patient Zero introduced the pathogen long after I forgot about the vial. So follow me; I’m going to total this thing in the months to come.

    I know a lot of you guys think Alexandria’s genesis is fake and just something some girl made up for her fan fiction, but it’s real, look at this article and think about it again.

    Meet the Creator of Alexandria’s Genesis

    Hello. How are you?

    I used to write Daria fan fiction way back when I was a huge fan of the show (circa 1998). One of the pseudonyms I used then was Alexander Lamar Eldritch (don’t bother emailing the blackstarwolf@yahoo.com address, btw; long-since deleted).

    Anyway, I decided to create a couple of characters who today would be considered A) Mary Sues, and B) really bad transhuman/posthuman prototypes. I gave them features such as:

    • Purple eyes
    • Shimmering, almost metallic, white skin
    • A lifespan of around 130 to 170 years
    • And so on and so forth…

    I even gave it a name: Alexandria’s Genesis. Made up a fun story to add a bit of history to these characters. I had no idea I was giving New Age idiots “children of the violet ray” fodder back in 1998.

    And now, some 14 years later, something I made up has made its way to Tumblr. *facepalms*

    I can never apologize enough for this. If you want to associate AG with anything, associate it with the musings of a bad Daria fan fiction writer who was into science fiction and fantasy back then. Or a posthuman ideal. Whatever.

    tl;dr: Alexandria’s Genesis is not, was not, and will never be real; it was just back story for someone’s entertaining first draft.

    PS - Meet the only characters to have AG (drawn for me by Kem): Raven Duchovny + Rebecca Anderson; Raven is male, by the way — think Andrej Pejic.
